Bethel's Dobson Leads the Pack
Barlow Easily Wins Team Title

Erin Dobson won the South-West Conference cross country championship race yesterday, matching her personal best time of 15 minutes, 59 seconds on the 2.4-mile layout. In the process, she left Joel Barlow's triumvirate of All-Staters Annie Tunderman, defending champion Shannon Kenefick and Ashley St. Pierre in her wake. The Falcons' terrific trio followed Dobson across the line, helping Barlow to its second league title in three years. Also contributing for the two-time defending Class M state champions were Moira Kennedy (10th) and Kristin Mazzeo (18th). Barlow, ranked fourth in the state coaches poll, scored 37 points. Bethel was next with 57. New Milford, the reigning champion, took third with 107.
