Dynamic duo of Croff, Ward lead Wolverines past Vikings
EAST LYME-- Chris Croff won the 1,600 and 3,200 while Tradelle Ward won the 800 Thursday, as the Griswold boys track and field team beat East Lyme 85-65.
Jake LaPointe won both the 110 and 300 hurdles for the Wolverines.
Tarian Donaldson finished first in three events, taking the long jump and the 100 and 200.

NFA 136 Montville 43 Plainfield 10
NORWICH-- Myles Bradley won the 100, 200 and long jump as NFA won easily. The Wildcats took first place in 17 of the 18 events. Kyle Dalbec finished first in the 400 and was on the Wildcats' winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
Montville's Kyle Coleman won the 300 hurdles.

Fitch 143 St. Bernard 7
GROTON -- The Falcons took first, second and third place in every event except the 100 and 3,200. Pete Norosky won the 100 and 200 for the Falcons.

Fitch 130 Stonington 20
GROTON-- The Falcons won all but two events (javelin and discus) to get the win. Seth Bolduc won both of those for the Bears.

Woodstock 96 Windham 73 Tourtellote 8
WILLIMANTIC-- On the strength of its relay ream Woodstock held off Windham and Tourtellotte in a tri-meet. Woodstock won the 4x800, 4x100 and 4x400 relays on the afternoon.

CLINTON-- Kevin Sorrell won the 800m (2:11) and the 1600m (4:50) to help Lyman defeat Haddam-Killingworth. Noah Rappahahn finished second in the long jump and the high jump.

NORWICH-- Kelsey Borner won the shot, discus and javelin to help sweep Montville and Plainfield. The Wildcats scored 94 points, followed by Montville with 50 and Plainfield with zero.
Kat D'Auria also won three events for the Wildcats, taking the 100, 200 and triple jump. Montville got wins in the 4x800 and 4x400 relays.

EAST LYME-- Alix MacDougall and Jani Springer won two events apiece as East Lyme won in the season-opener for both teams.
Shelby Donahue, Amanda Fisher and Krystyna Chester all won individual events for the Wolverines.

Windham 96 Woodstock 69 Tourtellote 18
WILLIMANTIC-- Windham started the new season on the right track with a win over Woodstock and Tourtellotte. Erica Sharpe paced the Whippets with a first place in the 100 hurdles and a second place in the 300.

Ledyard 91, Bacon 59 Ledyard 115, Putnam 16 Bacon 119, Putnam 23
LEDYARD-- Kaitlin Edwardsen finished first in the javelin (69-5), second in the discus and second in the shotput to help Ledyard earn its first two wins of the season.
Jordan Johnson won the 100m and the 200m for the Colonels.
Sara Barnowski won the long jump (14-5.5) and the triple jump (30-1) to help Bacon earn a split on the day.

CLINTON-- Sarah Ports won the 800m (2:43), the discus (76-4) and finished second in the 1600m to teammate Kelly Sorrell.
Crystal Fauteux finished first in the 400m (1:04.22), second in the 200m and joined Ports on the second place 4x400 relay teamwith a time of 4:42.
