Josh Fournier won the 400 (51.16), high jump (5-8), triple jump (41-0) and long jump (22-9½) for Bacon Academy, which settled for a 75-75 tie with Griswold in an ECC Small meet. Rory Farrell won the 100 hurdles (17.44) and 300 hurdles (47.70) for the Bobcats (3-1-2). Mike Charron won the 1,600 (5:10.39) and placed third in the 800 for the Wolverines, and Justin Laguerre won the 200 (23.72).
Cliff Bourne, Derek Stewart and Rick Franklin were double-winners as Montville beat Stonington, 87-62, in an ECC Medium Division meet. Bourne won the 110 hurdles (17.0) and 300 hurdles (43.71), Stewart captured the 100 (11.4) and 200 (23.6), and Franklin won the high jump (5-10) and triple jump (40-9½) for the Indians. Mark Brissette (1600 and 3200) and Andy Bessette (shot put and discus) won two events each for the Bears (0-3).
East Lyme rode double wins by Mike Irr, Scott Clarkson and Josh Rivera to an easy 103-47 ECC Large Division win over Ledyard. Irr won the 800 (2:09.4) and javelin (128-1), Clarkson the high jump (5-7) and triple jump (39-10¼) and Rivera the shot put (43-3) and discus (96-6) for the Vikings (3-0, 1-0). Adam Baber captured the 300 hurdles (41.0) and 200 (22.6) for Ledyard (2-1, 0-1).
Mark Bouthillier won four events as Putnam defeated Marianapolis, 133-33. Bouthillier won the 100 and 300 hurdles as well as the discus and javelin. David Auger won the 100, long jump and triple jump for the Clippers. Matt Mucci won the 3,200 for the Golden Knights.
Kenny Jones won the high jump and triple jump, helping NFA to an 83-67 ECC Large win over Woodstock Academy. Willie Jarmon won the long jump and Zack Clark the 1,600 for the Wildcats. Mike Joly won the discus and shot out for the Centaurs.
Deidre Baublitz won three events as Tourtellotte defeated St. Bernard, 116-27. Baublitz won the 300 hurdles, 100 and 200 for the Tigers (4-2). Tourtellotte's Bill Herra (shot put, javelin), Daryle Brown (high jump, long jump) and Justin Robitaille (100 hurdles, pole vault) won two events apiece.
Brian Gordon won the shot put (42-8) and high jump (5-8) for Waterford in a 71-41 ECC Medium win over New London. Pat Neilan added wins in the 300 hurdles (44.5) and 100 (12.1) for the Lancers (1-1, 1-0). Colin Raunig won the 1,600 in 4:51 and the 800 in 2:12.1 for the Whalers, who also lost to Plainfield, 108-32, and Adrian Williams won the long jump (19-2).
Tamar Shelton won the 200 (23.8) and shot put (44-1) while also joining Dante Ross, Phil Bigelow and Randy Baker on the winning 4x100 relay team (45.0) in Fitch's 138-12 rout of Killingly in Large Division action. Ross also placed first in the 100 (11.5), long jump (20-5) and high jump (6-0) for the Falcons (2-0, 1-0). The Redmen are 0-2, 0-1.
