Week of February 7, 2004:  
  Boys Field: Leon Bryce (Danbury) placed first in the Pole Vault clearing 13'6" at the FCIAC Boys Championships on February 7, 2004.
Mike Paridis (Old Saybrook) placed first in the Shot Put with a heave of 51'0" at the CVITC Championships on February 5, 2004.
Boys Track: David Metzger (Ellington) placed first in three events (1600m, 3200m and 4x800m Relay) to lead his team to victory at the NCCC Boys Championship Meet on February 3, 2004.   
Girls Field: Emilie Hardinge (Darien) placed first in the High Jump with a leap of 5'4" and Marsha Locke (Danbury) placed first in the Shot Put with a toss of 40'2" at the FCIAC Girls Championships on February 7, 2004.
Girls Track: Victoria Neff (Fairfield HS) placed first in three events (300m, 600m 4x200m Relay anchor leg) at the FCIAC Girls Championships on February 7, 2004. Neff set school records in the 300m and 600m.
Week of January 31, 2004:  
  Boys Field: Jesse Breault (Amity) placed first in the shot put with a season best throw of 50'11.5" and Terry Bariesi (Lyman Hall) placed first in the long jump with a season leading leap of 22'02" at the Southern Connecticut Conference Championships in New Haven on Saturday, January 31, 2004.
Boys Track: Matt Anderson of Manchester won three times (1000m, 1600m and 4x400 relay) at the Central Connecticut Championships to help his team win the team title on Saturday, January 31, 2004.
Jay Koloseus of Guilford
won the 3200m with a season best time of 9:28.74 at the Southern Connecticut Conference Championships in New Haven on Saturday, January 31, 2004.   
Girls Field: Kerryn MacDonald of Old Saybrook leaped 5'3" to place first in the high jump at the HK Indoor Invite on Saturday, January 31, 2004.
Natasha Harvey of Career High School placed first in the long jump with a season best 18'6.5" at the Southern Connecticut Conference Championships in New Haven on Saturday, January 31, 2004.
Girls Track: Betsy Boucher and Julia Rozier of Fitch High School combined to win six different events to lead their team to the team title at the Eastern Connecticut Conference Large School Championships on Saturday, January 31, 2004. Boucher ran the first leg on the 4x790m relay, the 1600m in 5:32.63 and the 3200m in 11:34.86 while Rozier anchored the 4x180m relay, the 300m in 42.85 and the 600m in 1:38.32.
Week of January 24, 2004:  
  Boys Field: Sutton Underwood of Brian McMahon placed first in the Pole Vault at the SCC Coaches Invite in New Haven on Saturday, January 24, 2004 clearing a season-leading height of 13'9".
Boys Track: Gavin Coombs of Griswold ran the 1-mile race at the New Balance meet at the Armory in New York City and won at the tape over one of the best fields assembled in the country this year in a state record 4:11.35.
Girls Field: Nasha Cadette of Career High School placed first in the Long Jump at the SCC Coaches Invite in New Haven on Saturday, January 24, 2004 jumping 18'6" as well as running the lead-off leg of the winning 4x200m Relay team.
Girls Track: Natasha Harvey of Career High School placed first in the 55m Hurdles at the SCC Coaches Invite in New Haven on Saturday, January 24, 2004 running 8.66 as well as running the anchor leg of the victorious 4x200m Relay team.
Week of January 17, 2004:  
Boys Field: Claude Green of Wilbur Cross-New Haven
placed first in the High Jump at the 22nd Yale Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 17, 2004 with a soaring leap over the bar at 6'8".
Boys Track: Martin Manson of Bloomfield
placed first in the 55m Dash at the 22nd Yale Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 17, 2004 with a time of 6.50 seconds.
Girls Field: Tahari James of Branford
placed first in the Long Jump at the 22nd Yale Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 17, 2004 with a season best of 18'4".
Girls Track: Shantia Calhoun of Wilbur Cross New Haven
placed first in the 55m Dash at the 22nd Yale Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 17, 2004 with a time of 7.23 seconds.

and Amie Schumacher of Holy Cross placed second in the 1-Mile Run at the 22nd Yale Classic in New Haven on Saturday, January 17, 2004 with a time of 5:05.30.

 

Week of January 10, 2004:  
  Boys Field: Myles Bradley of Norwich was named Meet MVP and Best in Field for his double win in the Long Jump (21'10") and 55m Hurdles (7.87) at the 61st Hartford Public Meet.
Boys Track: Ahmed Haji of Conard-West Hartford ran the 1-mile race in his first meet of the indoor season at the Citi Hispanic Games and finished in a school record 4:16.62 for third place.
Girls Field: Daniela Ponte of Torrington cleared 9'2" in the pole vault at the 61st Hartford Public Meet to eclipse Leah Williams record of 9'0" set in 2001.
Girls Track: Shanea Calhoun of Wilbur Cross for her performances at the 61st Hartford Public Meet in winning the 55m dash, second in the 300m and anchoring the winning 4x400m relay.
