Athlete Event Entry Notice

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY ENTRIES AFTER 9:00PM Tuesday, May 13, 2008 so give yourself time to complete your entries before 7:00pm so that you have time to review your entries and then submit them.

Follow these steps to submit you entries for the Naugatuck Valley League Championship (CT) . (it's easier than it looks but print and read this page before starting and save yourself entry time.)

** ONLY COACHES OF Naugatuck Valley League HIGH SCHOOLS ARE ALLOWED TO SUBMIT ENTRIES FOR THIS MEET ACCORDING TO MEET INFORMATION AND RULES POSTED AT MEET WEBSITE **

NEW Headcount Users:
Register yourself as a coach of a school for a Boys and/or Girls team at the Head Count website (http://www.nationalscholastic.org/headcount/login) then proceed to next step,

EXISTING Headcount Users:
Select the Naugatuck Valley League Championship (CT)
from the list of Current Meets at the Head Count website (http://www.nationalscholastic.org/headcount/).

1. At Entry Type and Affiliation, select:
+ I am a coach or team leader registering a group of people for this meet. AND
+ I am representing my school, [your school name]. then click Continue

2. On the Roster page, enter all your athletes once or enter new athletes to an existing roster. You will be able to use this roster for other Featured Meets.
+ Enter Athlete First Name, Last Name, Gender and Year in School.
+ DON'T enter a USATF number.

3. Meet Rules Reminder:
+ An athlete may only enter three (3) events. No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
+ Each school may enter 1 team in the 4 x 800 Relay, the 4 x 100 Relay, and the 4 x 400 relay.
+ A school may enter 2 competitors with no regard to time/distance. However, if a school has 3 entries, ALL 3 must meet the standard.

4. On the Event Entry page, enter listed athletes into the Male and Female events. All you need to do is select the event and select your athlete for the event.
+ Enter Performance seed time or distance using the correct format.
++ All Track event entry marks should be in a valid MM:SS.HU format.
++ All Field entry marks should be in the format of FT-IN format.

+ Enter complete seed performance marks for distances as well as times.
+ DON’T enter a Comment for this meet.

5. If you make a mistake, edit the entry using the Pencil icon or you can simply delete the event entry for the athlete or relay.

6. Complete your entries by selecting the Continue button at the bottom of the Event Entry page and wait for the Success-Registration Complete page to appear.
+ Print the Success-Registration Complete page for your records.
The Head Count system will also send you a confirmation of your entry via email.

7. PLEASE IGNORE THE PAID NOTICE NEXT TO EACH ENTRY SINCE WE ARE NOT USING THIS FEATURE OF HEADCOUNT FOR THIS MEET ONLY. You still must pay for meet entry according to the instructions at the meet website Information page.

8. Afterwards, if you find that you have made a mistake or omitted an athlete or need to replace an athlete with another one, then logon to the Head Count system again using your logon id and password, select the meet and make your corrections before the deadline date and time.

+ School Event Entry List and Initial Performance Reports will be available by Thursday, May 15, 2008.
