Declaration Notice for 2008 HPHS Indoor Invite

For an efficiently
administered meet and to eliminate any heats that consist of fewer than
four athletes:

Scratches without
penalty can be done onsite by 9:30 on
the day of the meet. Exceptions apply to the triple jump, which starts
at 8:30. (boys then girls) please get scratches in the triple jump to
the clerk asap.

No-shows in any
events will not be allowed to compete for the rest of the meet.

For each
running event:
coaches are asked
to declare to the Clerk at least 30 minutes, or two events before a
running event starts, that who they entered in an event will actually
participate. The declarations will be sent to the timers who will seed
the event. When the announcement is made for athletes to report to
the bull pen, athletes will report to the
bull pen clerk to get their hip numbers for that event. In ALL RUNNING EVENTS: once the athletes check-in to the bullpen
and receive their numbers
they will NOT be allowed to leave the bullpen.

For relays: coaches
will fill out relay cards with names of four of the six athletes
originally entered online and turn them in to the clerk. They will be
sent to the timers who will seed the heats for those teams actually
participating in the event. When the announcement is
made to report to the bull pen, all four athletes will report to the clerk for the
anchor's hip numbers for that
event.

We will run heats
from fast to slow.

We will have a
bull pen set up next to the clerk's table in which athletes in an event will gather
to get
their hip numbers, and from that area they will be taken to the starting
line, heat by heat.
