Meet Information

Rules:

 CIAC RULES WILL GOVERN THE EVENT

Field House Rules
  1. Spikes are allowed - We would prefer athletes use 1/4" pyramid spikes,  but 3/16" pyramid spikes are allowed.
  2. No Food will be allowed in the Field House. Water bottles are permitted but should be discarded in the provided receptacles.
  3. You must clean up your team area at the conclusion of the meet.

Registration:

 

 Coaches: A simple 2-step online registration procedure is required for entry to the meet by Entry deadline of 11:59pm, Saturday - December 29, 2007.
  1. Complete and Submit an Intent to Enter form
  2. Complete and Submit a Athlete Event Entry form for Boys and Girls.
  3. NOTE: Entry fees are charged for entering the meet. You owe for a team entry made online. No refunds of meet entry for scratches or "no-shows".
  • Limit of 2 entries per event per school. 
    (The number of athletes per team will be limited due to the capacity of the facility's parking lot, restrooms and field house.)
  • Limit of 3 events per athlete.
    No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as a relay team member of alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
  • Event Entry limits are at the discretion of the meet director due to the capacity of the facility's parking lot, restrooms and field house.
  • See meet events and new standards - No JV entries -

Online Entry deadline is 11:59pm, December 29, 2007.

Entry Fees - Checks:

 $200.00 per school ($100.00 Men and Women each). 
Minimum team fee: $100.00.
Please make checks payable to Hartford Public High School and mail with copy of completed online Intent to Enter form or if after 12/21/07, a copy of all Athlete Event Entry Confirmation forms to:

NOTE: Each coach should mail a certificate of insurance from their AD with Entry Fee to Anna Castro.

Entry fees will not be refunded.

Scoring and Prizes:

 Event Scoring: 10-8-6-4-2-1
Medals to the top 6 places in each event 
Team Awards: Silver Revere Bowls to 1st and 2nd places. 
There are also special individual awards:
  • Best in Track (M&W)
  • Best in Field (M&W)
  • Most Valuable Performer  (M&W)

New for the 2008 Meet - Additional Sponsor Awards from Mizuno USA and Fleet Feet of West Hartford: Prizes for all the first place winners, including relay teams, of a spike bag, technical t-shirt and water bottle.

Both Mizuno USA and Fleet Feet of West Hartford will be on-site at the meet.
